OrderedStrength

Terms of Use

Last updated: 1 September 2026. These terms cover the OrderedStrength iPhone app and this website. They are written to be read, not to be survived.

Who you are agreeing with

OrderedStrength is made by Jeremiah, one person, not a company with a support desk. Questions, complaints and refund problems all reach the same inbox: [email protected]. A person answers.

What you are allowed to do with the app

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use OrderedStrength on devices you own, for as long as these terms hold. That is a permission to use it, not a sale of the software itself.

What the licence does not cover: reselling or sublicensing the app, taking it apart to rebuild its coaching engine elsewhere, or using it to build a competing product. Ordinary personal training use is what this is for, and nothing here is intended to stop you using your own training data however you like. That data is yours. The free export covers your last 90 days of training in one file, and Pro exports the whole history back to your first set; either way it is a file you keep.

The subscription, in plain numbers

OrderedStrength Pro costs 199 US dollars per year or 29.99 US dollars per month. The yearly plan works out at about 16.58 a month, which is why it exists. That is the United States price. Prices are set country by country in App Store Connect and are lower nearly everywhere else: in Argentina it is 99.99 US dollars a year or 14.99 a month. In Argentina and Uruguay Apple charges in US dollars, so a local card also carries whatever tax that country puts on a foreign-currency purchase. Apple shows you the exact amount in your own currency before you confirm.

A free trial, where one is offered, is stated on the purchase screen with its exact length before you agree to anything. If you have already used a trial on one plan you are not eligible for another on the other plan, which is Apple's rule and not ours.

The subscription renews automatically. Apple charges the same card each period until you cancel. It renews within 24 hours of the period ending unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that. You cancel in your own Apple account settings, not here and not by asking us, and we cannot cancel it for you because we never see your payment details.

Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not shorten the period you already paid for, and it does not delete your training, which lives on your phone either way. Refunds are handled by Apple under their own policy, and if you have a problem getting one, write to us and we will help you chase it.

If we ever change the price, you are told before the change applies to you and you can cancel before it does.

What the subscription does and does not unlock

Free for your first 28 days: Jerry coaches you in full. He builds the session, sets the weight, warms you up to it and changes his mind while you are still in it, and the whole of the deeper analysis is open for that window. No card is asked for and nothing is charged during it. The window is counted from the first time the app can see the store, not from the day you happened to install it, and it does not restart if you delete the app and install it again.

Free, and staying free: logging every set, sessions you put together yourself, your daily fatigue, recovery and readiness readings, your logged sessions in the app, which no subscription gates, Jerry's spoken voice, and the accuracy record including every call he got wrong. Exporting your last 90 days as a file. Your first import from another app, because charging at the door is charging to be let in. And a straight answer about safety: if more work would take you past the limit the app refuses to cross, you are told so whether or not you pay. Every warning stays free and none of the advice does: a stalled lift, a week that has to be lighter and a recovery that will not carry your plan all still appear, in the same place and the same colour, and underneath each one, where the answer would be, it says to open Pro. An injury question is answered in full, free, with your own record and the load already taken off you. And your own words are yours: the notebook quotes them back with the date you said them.

What Pro opens: Jerry's prescribed sessions once your first 28 days are over, the coaching answers he gives you in chat, the deeper analysis screens, which now open whole rather than in part, your complete history export back to the first set, importing another training log again after the first one, and the weekly report as a file you can send. Those last three are paid from the first day. They are not part of the 28-day window and never were, because nobody misses a spreadsheet they have not made yet.

Nothing is hidden without saying so. A locked room keeps its name and its place on the screen, so you always know it is there and what it is for. What you no longer get from outside it is a tally of what is inside. And one route is never locked: if Jerry sends you to a particular screen because of an injury, that link lands you on the screen and not on a purchase page. If this list changes, this paragraph changes in the same release. The 28-day window is the one thing here that ends by design, and the app tells you on your own dashboard before it does. Everything in the free list above stays available whether you ever pay or not.

This is a training tool, not medical advice

OrderedStrength is not a medical device, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan. It does not know your medical history, and it cannot see you. Lifting weights carries real risk of injury.

You are responsible for deciding whether a prescribed load is safe for you on the day. If something hurts, if you are managing an injury or a health condition, or if you are pregnant or recovering from surgery, a qualified healthcare professional decides, not the app and not us. Stop if something is wrong. The app is built to be argued with, and telling it you are hurt changes what it asks of you.

What the coaching is, and is not

Every load the app prescribes is a model's best estimate from the sets you logged and from population research, and the app labels which of the two it is using at the time. It is explicitly not a guarantee of a result. There is no results dataset on this site yet because the test group has not trained long enough to have one, and until there is, nobody should read a number here as a promise about their own body.

Your data

Your training is computed on your device and there is no account. Exactly what does and does not leave your phone is set out in the privacy policy, including the one path we have said we are removing rather than keeping. The privacy policy is part of these terms.

The honest limits of what we promise

The app is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it is free of defects, that it will always be available, or that it will be right about you. We fix what we find and we publish the record of when it was wrong, which is a stronger commitment than a warranty clause and easier to check.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription in your Apple account, and delete the app. Deleting the app removes the training stored on it, so export a backup first if you might want it. We can end the licence if the app is being used to attack the service or to rebuild it elsewhere, and if we ever do that to you, you will be told why.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. Material changes to what you are paying for are announced before they apply, not after.

Your rights where you live

Nothing in these terms takes away a consumer right your own country gives you that cannot be signed away. Where a local rule and a line here disagree, the local rule wins.
